In my 40s, I finally decided to learn guitar after dreaming of it for years. The task seemed intimidating, but a “now or never” moment changed that.
Surprisingly, playing was simpler than expected—starting was the real challenge.
Much sooner than I imagined, I was strumming songs on my acoustic guitar with confidence. You will also be surprised how quickly you can play music!
I only teach adult learners because, as one myself, I know what steps are needed to confidently start playing songs on guitar.
I have taught dozens of retirees to quickly start playing guitar, the youngest being 55 and the oldest 93.
I am certain my teaching method will ensure you learn guitar quickly and start playing the songs you love!
In Lesson 1, you will learn to use two or three fingers to make chord shapes on the guitar.
I will also teach you basic strumming patterns and how to use them to play full songs.
Between lessons, contact me anytime if you need some extra coaching. I can also email you short videos reviewing the skills we cover in our lessons.
Location:
Anywhere in The Villages. We can meet at your house or outdoors at a community center or gazebo. * Live Online lessons also available.
Commitment:
None. Some students take weekly lessons, others take only a few and then move on to self-study.
